Church Urban Fund Mustard Seed Grants
The Church Urban Fund (CUF) provides grants to enable churches and faith-based organisations, working in very deprived communities, to engage in social action through supporting them to initiate or develop community work. This will then enable groups to either undertake larger pieces of work or significantly improve the existing provision.
Dulverton Trust
Registered charities and organisations with charitable status active in the areas below have the opportunity to apply for funding through the Dulverton Trust in the following areas:
• Youth and Education
• General Welfare
• Conservation
• Religion
• Preservation
• Peace and Security
• Africa
The Trust provides two principal types of grants. These are:
VCS Matters Evaluation develops nine recommendations
Recommendations on the way forward for VCS Matters have been published following an independent Programme Evaluation carried out by Alun Severn from Third Sector Services. The full Evaluation Report, an Executive Summary and Alun Severn's presentation to the VCS Matters Strategy Group on 21 April are attached at the end of this page.

The main conclusions of the evaluation report include:
Nominet Trust
The Nominet Trust was created in January 2008, with the declared aim of funding innovative Internet projects that make a positive difference to the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people, primarily in terms of education, safety and inclusion.
The Trust was initially awarded £5 million from Nominet, the Internet registry for .uk domains and will provide grants to organisations that can show that their innovative IT-related projects can make a positive difference to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups - in the UK, developing countries and around the world.
Arts Council England - Small Grants
Grants for the arts - This scheme is for individuals, arts organisations and other people who use the arts in their work. Grants are for activities over a set period which engage people in England in the arts, and help artists and arts organisations in England carry out their work.
Grants to individuals range from £1,000 up to £30,000, and will pay for activities lasting up to three years.
Grants to organisations range from £1,000 up to £100,000, and will pay for activities lasting up to three years.
