COPING WITH THE CUTS – IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL SECTORS
 

Many of you will already be engaged in discussions around the ongoing and imminent public sector funding cuts. It is widely acknowledged that these will have a significant impact on the provision of public services in the city, and no doubt we share very real concerns that they will have a disproportionately adverse effect on our most vulnerable citizens.

Preserving Jamaican Culture in Birmingham

The richness of Jamaican culture in Birmingham is to be collated and preserved thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The award of £41,900 will allow Digbeth based, community interest company Aspire4u to run the NYAM project with Birmingham residents.

Yardley Social Media Surgery

The next Be Birmingham Yardley Social Media Surgery will be on Wednesday the 28th of July at St Michael's and All Angels Church, Yew Tree Lane, South Yardley.

These surgeries are organised by Podnosh with funding from Be Birmingham to help local and voluntary and community groups to use social media to improve the work that they do. You are welcome to drop by any time between 6pm and 7.30pm where you'll be able to find friendly, informal help from one of our social media surgeons.
