Risk Management
Commissioners often expect a high degree of awareness from applicants about the potential risks that might affect commissioned work; they also have a legal duty to ensure that they invest public money safely.
This workshop will support you to develop a better ‘radar’ to identify risks and create effective responses to managing that risk, as well as how to qualify as 'low risk' in the eyes' of commissioners.
The workshop will cover:
• A background to risk management and what it means to the third sector
• An overview of the different strategies that commissioners use to assess risk
• A 'risk audit' that will help organisations to identify barriers and opportunities
• A six step process to managing risk
By the end of this workshop you will:
• Have a clearer understanding of risk management within your own organisation.
• Be able to reflect on what your current risks are.
• Identify, evaluate and reassess your current risk strategy.
• Implement a 6 step process to managing risk.
Who should attend:
• Commissioners
• Infrastructure Organisations
• Front line Voluntary/Community Sector Organisations and Social Enterprises.
