B.STRONG course at Ladywood Arts & Leisure Centre aimed at voluntary organisations seeking the introductory knowledge and skills to be good employers following "good practice" and within the current legal framework.
Participants to be given an understanding of the main areas of employment legislation. They will be able to distinguish between different types of contracts of employment, differences between redundancy and dismissal, mechanics of grievance and disciplinary procedures, understanding of absence management and finally knowledge on equalities legislation in the workplace.
