Volunteer Filmmaking

The 2010 Volunteer Filmmaking scheme, run by Media Trust’s award winning productions department, is now open for applications from any charity, not-for-profit or voluntary organisation with an annual turnover of less than £2 million. Volunteer Filmmaking matches professional filmmakers with small charities to create short promotional films at a fraction of the normal cost.

The short films, which can be up to five minutes in length, will also be guaranteed a broadcast slot on national television channel, Community Channel.

Sexual Health Promotion Service Training & Teenage Pregnancy Partnership Training

The Sexual Health Promotion Service’s new service brochure, which includes (on pages 8 to 19) the Sexual Health Training Programme (2010-2011), has been published.  An Application from is included (with instructions) on page 19 of this document.  Please feel free to photocopy it and use it to apply for your place on any of our courses.

BEN's Got Talent

‘BEN’s Got Talent’ is a campaign to tackle health inequalities by unleashing the entrepreneurial talent of people in Birmingham. The campaign is managed by NHS Birmingham East and North’s Social Entrepreneur in Residence, supported by the Young Foundation. We are currently looking for ideas from: nurses; doctors; commissioners; health managers and directors; community development workers; health workers and trainers; patients; residents; careers; entrepreneurs and innovators. In fact, anyone that has a great idea that positively improves health and wellbeing.
