M.O.B. Free Olympics inspired creative arts volunteering opportunities for 16-25s

Want to be part of an M.O.B. that makes an Olympic ripple in your community? The Drum is seeking young adults between 16-25yrs to create Olympics and Paralympics inspired disturbances that will be talked about for years to come! If you want to work with other community members to create a stir, read on.
Coping with Cuts: Redundancy & Redeployment support
BETTER West Midlands is a project being supported by the Skills Funding Agency between now and March 2011. The project works across the region with employers of all sizes (and from all sectors) who are forced to make redundancies. This will of course be of particular interest to those voluntary organisations who are having to make staff redundant as a result of restrictions in funding.

The Community and Play Service provides community and play facilities in the Constituencies and a range of activities to meet local needs, improving the quality of life for children, families and
individuals and building safe, strong and active communities.
LawWorks Choices
LawWorks Choices project was designed to enable unemployed solicitors take part in pro bono work whilst seeking permanent employment. Since its launch in July 2009 the project has proved very popular, both with volunteers and organisations benefitting from their assistance. Benefits to the volunteers include a reduced membership fee to LawWorks, free CPD accredited training, and access to a Guaranteed Interview Scheme on completing 40 hours of pro bono work.
How it works
National Citizen Service pilots for young people
David Cameron has outlined plans to encourage 16-year-olds to undertake a programme of voluntary community work. The National Citizen Service scheme aims to give teenagers the opportunity to foster new skills and inspire them to become socially responsible through community involvement.
