Hear by Right

Hear by Right is a tried and tested standards framework for organisations across the statutory and voluntary sectors to assess and improve practice and policy on the active involvement of children and young people.  Hear by Right forms an important part of the Children & Young People's Plan in Birmingham to ensure that consultation and engagement with children and young people is effective.

On 17 July 2007 VCS Matters ran a first seminar on 'Young People & Participation', followed by a Hear by Right seminar on 2 October 2007, both with Christina Hyland from the bayc Youth Involvement Team.  The presentation from the second seminar (produced by the National Youth Agency (NYA) and part of the Hear by Right Toolkit) can be downloaded below.  Further information and materials are available from the Hear by Right website.
