Want to know about what Birmingham will look like in 10 years time? and the effects on your organisation? Attend this session to gain a better understanding about the current and future dynamics within Birmingham.
B.STRONG training is designed to build knowledge and skills in a range of organisational
development issues. The courses are held at Ladywood Arts &\; Leisure Centre\, free of charge and open to voluntary and community organisations - management committee members\, staff\, volunteers and their service users.
This course offers a two-day introduction to various sexual health issues including personal skills\, pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. The aim is to raise awareness of the different aspects of sexual health and to build skills and confidence in practice. There is a particular emphasis on working with young people. However\, as the approach is on building practical skills such as communication and negotiation\, much of the course content will be transferable to other client groups.
CAMHS is holding a seminar about Autistic Spectrum Disorder entitled "\;ASD Awareness"\;\, delivered by Sara Walton from the Communication and Autism Team\, at the Sanctuary\, High Street\, Castle Vale.
CAMHS lunchtime seminars are an introductory level of training in child and adolescent mental health subjects. They are delivered by specialist practitioners from a variety of professions and services.

Details\: This course will help you to understand the risk assessment process\, and the issues involved in providing Play opportunities for children to have access to risk and challenge in public outdoor spaces\, in both natural and built environments.
This is a categorised tournament held at the NIA Birmingham. Categories for beginners to advance players and we also have under 11\, 13\, and 15.
This is the 7th Annual Championship. The goal is to get as many people as possible playing badminton.
1 ½ Day Core Training
This training is aimed at all staff who are likely to be involved in the assessment process\, acting as the professional lead in case work and who will be involved in filling in the assessment form. The course also includes the Lead Practitioner Module.

The aim for the course will be to provide techniques and strategies that will help the participants to control the stress in their lives. Participants will become aware of what stress is and how it arises\, identify which situations lead to stress\, what actions one can take to keep stress at lower levels\, an exploration on controlling stress linked thoughts and learn ways to relax to cope positively with what is to come.

At its core\, this dynamic and interactive conference organised by the Community Development Foundation at the ICC Birmingham is about demonstrating community development'\;s contribution to empowerment practice.
This half-day briefing session is scheduled to precede World AIDS Day and provide an overview of this year'\;s campaign. With the Children &\; Young Persons Bill set to become law\, children in care are once more in the spotlight.
Life after care\: how to improve services and outcomes for care leavers is a free half-day seminar\, organised by Children &\; Young People Now in conjunction with QA Research and National Care Leavers'\; Week\, which will explore the gaps that remain in services for care leavers\, often leaving them vulnerable and struggling to cope. Based on brand new research\, this seminar considers the views of care leavers themselves on how services and support could be improved.
Birmingham Settlement'\;s Big Lottery\, Basis - City Spirit Programme launch event takes place on 30 October.
City Spirit is a grassroots response to overcoming the issues and needs affecting the most excluded communities within the city of Birmingham. The project will work closely with limited number of BME front line organisations\, providing on going and in-depth help and support to develop capacity building and infrastructure needs to continue delivering services and working directly with the most excluded communities within Birmingham'\;s inner city wards.

This one-day introductory course explores some of the key legal issues relating to sexual health work. Pitched at a basic level\, the morning session addresses the principle of confidentiality and touches on a range of other legal issues\, with a particular emphasis on working with young people. The afternoon session is delivered in partnership with Terrence Higgins Trust and explores the developing area of law surrounding the transmission of HIV. The aim of the day is to dispel myths and develop confidence and skill in practice for professionals working in a variety of settings.
