The Children's Society has launched its autumn training courses with a special offer - book two places before 15 August and receive a third place free. Courses held in Birmingham are: - Safeguarding Young Runaways: 15 September, 15 October; - Safeguarding Young People from Sexual Exploitation: 16 September, 16 October; - Supporting Young People at Risk of Substance Abuse: 25 September, 21 October; - Supporting Young People at Risk of Self-Harm: 17 September; 20 October. 1 ½ Day Core Training This training is aimed at all staff who are likely to be involved in the assessment process, acting as the professional lead in case work and who will be involved in filling in the assessment form. The aim for the course will be to provide techniques and strategies that will help the participants to control the stress in their lives. Participants will become aware of what stress is and how it arises, identify which situations lead to stress, what actions one can take to keep stress at lower levels, an exploration on controlling stress linked thoughts and learn ways to relax to cope positively with what is to come. | ||
