China Earthquake event
By now watching television, reading a newspaper and opening a magazine you are well aware of the devastating earthquake which struck South West China on 12 May 2008. Many more have lost their homes and the death toll continues to rise, and aftershocks have continued to happen.
There will be a luncheon at the Chinese Community Centre - Birmingham (CCC-B) on Monday 2nd June at 12:30pm - 2:00pm. Tickets are £15 and all the proceeds will be split and donated 2 ways to British Red Cross and The Chinese Embassy.
No amount of money will compensate what the people have lost - family; friends; livelihood and so forth, but this is an opportunity for you to show your support and share feelings in this occasion.
Understandably, this event will be unlike any other we have had at CCC-B, but we hope that you will be able to come and make a however small contribution you see fit.
Please come along to support this meaningful luncheon and obtain tickets from Paul Chung on 0121-68508510 or email cccbirmingham3@hotmail.com
Any donations please write cheque payable to: Chinese Embassy in UK
