Children England

Children England, formerly known as NCVCCO, is the leading membership organisation and collective voice for the children, young people and families voluntary sector.  Members include the largest children's charities in the country through to small local groups, representing a workforce of over 100,000 like-minded people.  Children England provide a range of services including free training, resources and information.  Membership benefits include weekly sector news and information, regional representation, networking events, workforce development support and much more!

Compact

The Commission for the Compact is the independent organisation for the Compact, overseeing the relationship between government and the voluntary and community sector.

Continental Star FC

Continental Star FC started up in 1975 and today boasts 14 teams.
The Club’s main focus is to provide opportunities for individuals of ethnic origin to play the beautiful game in a safe and pro-active environment. Continental Star FC uses the power of football to promote the importance of education and healthy living to disadvantaged youngsters in the inner city communities of Birmingham.

Counselling Directory

The purpose of the Counselling Directory is to provide a counselling support network, enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them and appropriate for their needs. This is a free, confidential service that will hopefully encourage those in distress to seek help. The website also contains a number of sections on emotional disorders (types of distress section) and provides some useful statistics.

Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)

The CRB's aim is to help organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable to work with children or other vulnerable members of society.

CTX

Through the CTX (Charity Technology Exchange) programme, eligible UK-based charities are able to choose from over 170 donated or discounted technology products from Partners such as Microsoft, Symantec and Cisco. The products include operating system software and server software, security software and hardware products such as switches, routers, wireless equipment and firewalls.  Charities are required to pay a small Administrative Fee to cover the costs of the programme.

Dartington-i

Dartington-i, a sister of Dartington Social Research Unit, works with Birmingham City Council and other forward-looking children's services organisations in the United Kingdom, Europe and North America to secure better outcomes for children.

'Every Child Matters: Change for Children' is a new approach to the well-being of children and young people from birth to age 19 based on the 2003 Government green paper prompted by the report into the death of Victoria Climbié and the Children Act 2004 which provides the legislative spine for developing more effective and accessible services focused around the needs of children, young people and families.
