Children and young people's services are moving from the grant regime to a commissioning and procurement model which is having a considerable impact on the voluntary and community sector who deliver services. The Initiative for Social Entrepreneurs (ISE) in partnership with VCS Matters are running a series of workshops and training sessions for Voluntary Sector organisations who want to know more about how these changes will affect them and what they can do to increase their skills and knowledge to become ready for contracting.

Business Planning
The voluntary sector is being encouraged to be more ‘business like' in order to become sustainable and win contracts in the future. ISE and VCS matters are therefore running a workshop to support organisations develop their business plan. This workshop will enable organisations to:
- Identify the steps and process to develop their business ideas and plans
- Understand their current markets (customers) and identify new ones
- Understand the key components within the business plan
