In it they argue that the problem of children no longer feeling safe or welcome to play in public spaces is a deal breaker for so many other common aspirations - including regeneration, health and social cohesion. Demos is about to begin a longer piece of work on trying to find solutions to the problem. 

I've had a strong interest in the Third Sector Innovation Exchange ever since a group of my friends put in a very brave bid to run the project. The exchange is intended to be a place where government and the voluntary sector can collaborate to work up the best ways to make our lives better. This particlar bid was brave because they wrote their entire proposal in public and on the internet. Why would you do that?
