Birmingham - A Child Friendly City?

The answer you entered to the math problem is incorrect.

By Jason - Posted on 15 October 2007

How do you feel about the children and young people of Birmingham - do you like them?

Perhaps not all of them all of the time but has our City become so preoccupied with the negative stereotype of hooligans in hoodies that it warrants a campaign to promote "Birmingham likes young people"?

What would such a campaign achieve? How would young people benefit, would they be any better understood, valued or respected as a result of it? Or do we risk alienating them further? Surely if we want to create a Child Friendly City consulting young people should be the starting point and perhaps there are more effective ways of achieving this goal.
